Produced, mixed and engineered by Kurt Feldman (Ice Choir, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Kristin Kontrol), TENANT FROM ZERO debuts with six songs about love and heartache certain to illicit swoons from devotees of 1980s pop classicism. Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Paul Darrah wrote and arranged 'The Nape of Your Neck' EP over several years until finally working with Feldman and crafting the recordings over a string of weekends last year. The result is a blend of solid songwriting and atmospherics which recalls the finest pre-internet Sophisti-pop. Darrah's vocals deftly inhabit the space between the melancholic croons of David Sylvian and Tracey Thorn, and the soulful ache of The Blue Nile’s Paul Buchanan. The opening track, “Grant McLennan,” is a poppy ode to the frontman for Australia’s much-beloved The Go-Betweens.

'The Nape of Your Neck' is available now on iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp.
