Raised in rural Arkansas, TAV FALCO embarked on his long and distinguished musical career upon arriving in Memphis in the mid-1970s. Teaming up with local music legend Alex Chilton (The Box Tops/Big Star) in 1978, the duo formed the long-running and still active band, TAV FALCO’S PANTHER BURNS. Despite Chilton’s exit from the live lineup in 1984, Panther Burns carried on and the band’s current discography includes ten studio LPs and numerous EPs, live albums, and compilations. A frequent participant in the early '80s club scene at The Peppermint Lounge and Danceteria in New York City, Tav Falco's Panther Burns continue to be the standard bearers of an evocative mélange of Southern Gothic-tinged roots rock that encompasses rockabilly, country, blues, beat poetry, exotica, and performance art.

Tav's most recent release, A Tav Falco Christmas, was released in December 2017 via ORG Music/Frenzi Films & Music.  Tav Falco's Panther Burns will shortly be announcing a U.S. tour for May. Tav will be joined on the tour by guitarist Mario Monterosso (Dale Watson), bassist Mike Watt (Minutemen, Firehose, The Stooges) and drummer Toby Dammit (touring keyboardist with Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds).

Equal parts primal, early rock'n'roll, deviant hill country blues & avant-garde art, Tav Falco - PANTHER BURNS are ramshackle, raw, and unholy - not just Music...but a state of mind. Tav Falco is one of the truly original and romantic forces in American music - the voice that America lost and found.
